NPR Music released the first of five live Sylvan Esso studio session videos today, and I'm very excited.
I'm a huge Sylvan Esso fan. I can't think of any other act who uses electronic instrumentation in such an organic way. They'll make you dance right before they make you cry and then make you dance again while you're crying. It only makes sense to bring in a big band of North Carolina musicians from acts like Mountain Man, The Mountain Goats, Wye Oak and Hiss Golden Messenger and play a handful of tracks from their second album, What Now.
"Rewind" was on of my favorite tracks off this recent album and listening to it with this incredible new arrangement makes me happy as a clam.
