It's the Spring of 2013 when I first hear "The Fall" off Rhye's debut album, Woman. I'm an outgoing senior in high school driving home from someone's house in my mom's minivan. The windows are open enough to let a faint, warm breeze pass through the car. And as the song builds and flows, emitting waves of longing and tenderness, I begin to gently cry to myself. Not too much though, I still need to see the highway in front of and under me.
It's been over four years since we last heard from Rhye. I am delighted to hear their new track, "Please" in all its sensual, heart-wrenching glory.
